“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding” (Proverbs 3:5, NIV).
Are you facing a situation that seems like it has no logical solution? Sometimes we have to turn our minds off, stop trying to figure it all out, and stop overanalyzing and researching everything. When you don’t see the answer in the natural realm, it’s time to stop leaning on your own understanding and choose to trust God.
Sometimes our minds can be a distraction to our “inner sensor.” Our minds can allow fear and dread to distract us from what God is speaking to our hearts. That’s why the Scripture says that we aren’t to lean on our own understanding. We have to take time to shut off the distractions, shut off fear, and listen to what’s going on inside of us where God speaks. That’s where faith rises up. That’s where all of the sudden you’ll feel a spark of hope even when things look impossible.
Today, no matter what it looks like in the natural, choose to lean on Him. Trust that He has favor in store for your future. Trust that something good is about to happen. As you lean on Him with your mind, soul and strength, you’ll see His goodness and break through to new levels in every area of your life!

As we read the Scriptures, we see that the cross symbolizes …
Salvation. Jesus bore our sins upon the cross and died in our place so we could be reconciled to God and receive eternal life.Sacrifice. Christ, who was “in very nature God” (Phil. 2:6 niv), chose to leave the perfection of heaven and live among sinful people. Laying aside His divine authority, He was born a helpless baby, completely dependent upon others. His first 30 years were spent in obscurity, without recognition of His Messiahship. During His public ministry, He faithfully carried out God’s plan all the way to His death on the cross. Jesus’ days on earth are an example to us of the sacrificial life (Rom. 12:1-2).
Service. Jesus said He “did not come to be served, but to serve and to give His life a ransom for many” (Mark 10:45). Christ’s supreme act of service was dying on the cross so we might have eternal life. Our Savior calls us to deny ourselves and follow Him through sacrificial service to others (Luke 9:23). As we embrace a lifestyle of humility and servanthood, we will bring glory to our heavenly Father.

I believe that God is ready to present you with new opportunities. He wants to open new doors before you. It doesn’t matter what’s happening in the world around you, God’s Word remains true!
Remember, in an instant, God can bring the right people into your life, the right opportunities, and the right resources to take you to a whole new level. Today, choose to keep an attitude of faith and expectancy. Begin to thank Him for the opportunities that are just ahead for you. Shut the door on fear and let God lead you by His peace through the door of opportunity He has prepared for you!

Two are better than one…if either of them falls down, one can help the other up… Ecclesiastes 4:9-10, NIV.
God likes two together. The Bible says in Matthew 18 that there is power when two or more pray in agreement. One can put a thousand to flight, but two can put ten thousand to flight! Where there are two or more gathered in His name, God is there. And just like Jesus sent the disciples out in pairs of two to fulfill their mission, God will send a friend or partner to come along side you to help you fulfill your life’s mission.
You may not see that special friend or partner right now; but remember, you are never alone because you and God are a majority. Why don’t you step out and be that friend that someone needs today. Is there someone in your life that you can reach out to and offer encouragement and support? Can you be that friend that helps someone when they fall? Sometimes a simple phone call or note of encouragement is all it takes. Be willing to support your friends. Get behind their dreams and encourage them to press forward. As you sow those seeds of hope and faith, God will bring people in your life to encourage you, too, and you’ll move forward in victory all the days of your life.
